Drawer vs. ArtistsThere is an argument out there about artists, who draw instead of paint or sculpt. Their argument; they're not called drawers. To them, drawers are just the moveable shelves in tables and upright cabinets, nothing else. Unfortunately, I say differently. Being an artist/drawer myself, I have come to the conclusion that I am right, and anyone who says otherwise can stand to be corrected. According to the definition of the term 'drawer':

draw*er- (drô'er; for 2 drôr) n.  1 one that draws  2 a sliding box in a table, chest, ect.

If you draw, you're a drawer, end of story. They may argue, "I'm an artist, not just some 'drawer'", lets look at the

Rainbow Dash has the best heroes. ^^

Someone in /r/mylittlepony by the name of TheVoiceofSpitfire suggested I try my gimp hand at Spitfire, so, there y'all go :3

Also, adding the Power Rangers Theme Song to my playlist made a world of difference ^^

Once again, coffee+mouse+Gimp+2 days = the above.

And again, let me know how I did! I don't have premium, otherwise I'd ask for critique the 'popular' way. Get nitpicky! :D And it's almost just perfect for desktop size, so, enjoi!

Like I said before, it's like you're taking the shows graphics (style and palette) and adding more detail. I'm not sure how lighting works at high altitude, but the "mid-air" shadows look fantastic (I just spent ten minutes searching Google for accuracy or terminology and found nothing lol). Nevertheless, I'm loving everything from the shades to the subtle glare in front of her front-right leg to the clouds.
FINALLY! It took me fifteen damn minutes to notice an error. I always look for something to criticize if it's this good because NOTHING is perfect. All I can say is her ear looks a bit small. I don't know if some ponies look like that, but most in the show (including her) have larger ears that start lower on the head.

I know you didn't ask for a critique, but you take criticism so well. Whatever I seem to like of yours I actually love, so I want to see you polish yourself. People like you need more recognition :(

I love critique! Not only keeps me modest, but helps me know where to do better!

And nothing is perfect, I also think her eyes are a tad too close together, but that was just staring at the spot on the head trying to figure the eye placement lol ^^

I love this image. ^_^ Beautiful skies, stylish theme, dynamic goings-on in the background, and a nice, sweet image of Spitfire.

The way you're using Spitfire on its own has the virtue of being fairly unique, so kudos for that.

Great job with the shadows, both the dramatic diagonal ones and the ones giving the characters dimension. Keep up the good work!

The only critism I can make is that the angle of the line of Spitfire's eyelids convey the impression of saddness in her eyes, not sure if that is intentional or not. Other than thatiIt's a wonderful piece of art!
